General Studies

Welcome to our General Studies program, where we have combined with Computer Studies since 2019. Our program has two special features that make it unique. Firstly, we focus on STREAM education, which stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Secondly, we encourage our students to actively contribute to society and make a positive impact. Additionally, our program enhances 21st century skills and promotes independent research.

STREAM education plays an important role in preparing students for the rapidly evolving world we are living in. By integrating STREAM subjects into our curriculum, we provide students with a well-rounded education that equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in various fields. Our program emphasizes the practical application of STREAM concepts, allowing students to explore real-world issues and develop innovative solutions.

In line with our commitment to fostering active citizenship, we encourage our students to engage with societal challenges and actively contribute to their communities. Through our Project Learning booklet, students have the opportunity to identify and address pressing issues in areas such as society, the environment, and technology. By undertaking meaningful projects, students gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of these issues and become agents of positive change.

To further enhance problem-solving skills, we have introduced the Smart Inventor booklet. This resource encourages students to think creatively and develop models or solutions to address problems they may encounter in their lives. By engaging in hands-on activities, students hone their critical thinking abilities and develop a proactive mindset that empowers them to overcome challenges.

We also emphasize the importance of independent research and information-seeking skills. Students are encouraged to utilize the resources available to them, including the library lesson, to find relevant books and expand their knowledge. By encouraging self-directed learning, we equip students with the necessary skills to seek out information, analyze it critically, and apply it effectively.
