Harmony in Diversity
Principal’s message
In the year 2025-2026, our students have flourished on various platforms. At Delia (Man Kiu) English Primary School, here are plenty of opportunities for students to showcase their talents in singing and dancing at school events, such as Campus Busking and Move Beyond Dance. Students were also able to give back to society by volunteering with the Appreciation Companion team. Also, students created assistive devices for vulnerable groups in the AI competition at CUHK, where they got a Merit Award. Students have been doing well in sports too. They even won a dodgeball tournament and did brilliantly in other football, athletics, and volleyball competitions.
In addition to these students’ achievements, our school also organised and participated in many cultural activities. For example, teachers and students celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival and Halloween by dressing up in different creative costumes. Also, our teachers were equipped with skills in asking questions and knowledge on patriotic education through various professional development activities held in school. Apart from that, our parent-child activities, such as the family enrichment keychain workshop, the PTA outing, and the fragrance making workshop, further reinforced our home-school connections. Students’ appreciation of Chinese heritage was further enhanced through visits to various museums and cultural performances. Their knowledge of national education was deepened through our school’s flag-raising ceremonies. They also learned how to protect the environment through recycling education activities and participated in community drama performances.
The theme of our 2026-2027 school year will be Respect. Our students need to know that respecting our staff, parents, and one another in the school community is of utmost importance. Also, they need to respect themselves by making good choices and taking responsibility for their homework. Our school’s environment should also be respected by reducing the amount of waste. Most significantly, students need to show respect for learning, participate in lessons attentively, and be ready to do their very best in every task at school.
With your continued support and our continued commitment to treat children with the respect that they deserve, I believe the year 2026-2027 is going to be a great year for all of our children. Together, we can build a safe and happy community with understanding, encouragement, and respect. Thank you.
